Levent Kaya is a self-taught contemporary painter based in Istanbul. Working primarily with oil and acrylic on canvas, he builds his compositions through layered textures and bold color relationships — always in pursuit of the emotion beneath the surface.

 

His work explores the tension between the visible and the hidden: figures emerge from fields of color, faces fragment into gesture, and moods calcify into form. Recurring motifs — the solitary figure, the turned gaze, hands — serve as anchors for psychological states that resist easy naming.

 

Kuzikart is both a studio and a showcase. It brings together work spanning over a decade, from early explorations in pure figuration to a current practice rooted in expressive abstraction. Selected pieces are available for private acquisition; inquiries are welcome.
